Specific features of the translation of Mexican proverbs and sayings into Russian

Abstract

Перевод пословиц и поговорок является одной из самых сложных задач для переводчика. Сложность обусловлена тем, что пословицы и поговорки впитали в себя элементы культуры, истории и реалий данной страны и в каком-то смысле отражают национальный характер ее жителей. В нашей работе мы рассматриваем мексиканские пословицы и поговорки, поскольку Мексика является страной с синтетической культурой, в которой сплелись язык и обычаи индейских и традиционные элементы испанской культур. Цель работы заключается в исследовании различных методов перевода мексиканских пословиц и поговорок на русский язык. Работа представляет интерес с точки зрения ее использования в качестве вспомогательного материала или руководства при переводе пословиц и поговорок на русский язык, а также использования рассмотренных примеров в переводе.

The translation of proverbs and sayings is one of the most complicated problems faced by translators. The complicity of the translation is conditioned by the fact that sayings and proverbs assimilate the culture, history and realia of the nation and in some case reflect its national character. In our work we consider Mexican sayings and proverbs, since Mexico is a country with synthetic culture that assimilated the language and customs of the cultures of the Indians and the traditional forms of Spanish culture, which resulted in a very rich language and broad and metaphorical proverbs. The objective of the scientific work is to investigate different methods of the translation of Mexican proverbs into the Russian language. The scientific value of the performed work consists in its use as a guide or complementary material during the translation of proverbs and sayings, as well as the analyzed examples can be used in the translation.
