Value-semantic sphere of the students' personality in the humanitarian and science education

Abstract

Для изучения ценностно-смысловой сферы личности студентов гуманитарного и естественно-научного направлений обучения исследовано 80 обучающихся высших учебных заведений Москвы, Санкт-Петербурга и Новосибирска. Измерялись: ценности структуры массового сознания (модификация методики Р. Инглхарта), ценностные ориентации (методика М. Рокича), смысложизненные ориентации (методика Д.А. Леонтьева) и индивидуально-типологические особенности (опросник Л.Н. Собчик). Установлены общие для исследуемых групп и частные (более характерные для каждой) закономерности. Сопоставимы показатели низкого уровня представлений о своем профессиональном будущем и значимых терминальных ценностей (счастье других, удовольствия, красота природы и искусства, творчество и общественное признание); ценностный тип; отсутствие связи между познанием, развитием и материально обеспеченной жизнью. Различия найдены в ранжировании студентами ценностей общественного признания, творчества, воспитанности и исполнительности – они более значимы для студентов гуманитарных профилей подготовки; а также честности – ее в качестве более значимой выделили студенты естественно-научных направлений. Студенты гуманитарных направлений скорее ставят в один ряд познание с интересным досугом, а для студентов естественно-научных направлений обучения оно является инструментом для повышения продуктивности собственной жизни. Показатели по шкале интроверсии выше у студентов естественно-научных направлений обучения.

To study the value-semantic sphere of the personality of students in the humanities and natural sciences, 80 students of higher educational institutions of Moscow, St. Petersburg and Novosibirsk were examined. Were measured: values of mass consciousness structure (modification of R. Inglehart’s technique), value orientations (M. Rokeach's method), meaning-life orientations (D.A. Leontiev's technique) and individual-typological features (L.N. Sobchik's questionnaire). Common patterns to the groups studied and particular patterns (more characteristic of each group) are established. Indicators of low level of ideas about their professional future and significant terminal values (happiness of others, pleasure, beauty of nature and art, creativity and public recognition) are comparable; and also: value type; absence of connection between cognition, development and materially endowed life. Differences are found in students' ranking of values of public recognition, creativity, upbringing and diligence (they are more significant for students of humanitarian profiles); as well as honesty - it was highlighted by students of natural sciences as more significant. Students in the humanitarian fields equally appreciate interesting leisure activities and cognition, and for students in the natural sciences, cognition is a tool to increase the productivity of their own lives. Indicators on the scale of introversion are higher among students in the natural sciences.
