Linguistic and cultural analysis of the kinship terms in Russian and Chinese languages

Abstract

Терминология родства функционирует в определенной лингвокультурной общности и как набор определенных языковых единиц, именующих родственные взаимосвязи между людьми, и как совокупность этикетных единиц речевого общения представителей определенной культуры. Сущность терминов родства заключается в том, что в них отражаются важные для жизни и функционирования человеческого сообщества взаимосвязи. Они основаны на истории социальных отношений людей в обществе и их осмыслении этих отношений. В ней отражены и четко зафиксированы исторически сложившиеся в данном социуме национальные правила определения родственных отношений. Именно поэтому рассмотрение термины родства в лингвокультурологическом плане имеет важное значение для понимания структуры определения родства и языковых форм его фиксации. Однако история их форм и значений, стилистические функции, распространенность, словообразовательная потенциальность остаются недостаточно исследованными.

Terminology of kinship functions in a certain linguistic and cultural community and as a set of specific linguistic units that refer to related relationships between people and as a set of etiquette units of speech communication of representatives of a particular culture. The essence of the terms of kinship is that they reflect the interrelationship important for the life and functioning of the human community. They are based on the history of social relations of people in society and their interpretation of these relations. It reflects and clearly identifies the national rules of defining family relations that have historically developed in this society. It is for this reason that the consideration of the term of kinship in the linguistic and cultural plane is of great importance for understanding the structure of the definition of kinship and the linguistic forms of its fixation. However, the history of their forms and meanings, stylistic functions, prevalence, word-forming potentiality remain insufficiently investigated.
