The social dimension of European integration (1986–2010)

Abstract

Тема настоящей магистерской диссертации: "Социальное измерение европейской интеграции (1986-2010 гг.)" Цель исследования - выявление основных черт социального измерения европейской интеграции в период с 1986 по 2010 год. В соответствии с целью были сформулированы следующие задачи: - описать историческое развитие социального измерения европейской интеграции, закрепленное в официальных документах ЕЭС, позже ЕС; - систематизировать социальную политику ЕЭС/ЕС в различных сферах; - рассмотреть деятельность основных социальных акторов Европейского Союза. Объектом исследования является феномен социальной политики в контексте европейского строительства. Предмет исследования - социальное измерение европейской интеграции и социальная политика ЕС. Диссертация выполнена на 107 страницах, состоит из введения, трех глав, заключения и списка источников и литературы. Во введении раскрывается актуальность работы, ставится цель и задачи исследования, его объект и предмет, дается хронология исследования, его методологическая и источниковая базы, описывается степень разработанности темы. Первая глава носит название: " История социального измерения европейской интеграции в 1986-2010 гг.", в ней описывается историческое развитие социального измерения европейской интеграции, закрепленное в официальных документах ЕЭС/ЕС. Во второй главе, которая называется "Сферы социальной политики Европейского союза", систематизируется социальная политика ЕЭС/ЕС в различных сферах. Выделяемые в данном исследовании сферы: трудовые отношения, здравоохранение, образование, политика сплочения. Третья глава, "Акторы социальной политики Европейского Союза", посвящена рассмотрению деятельности основных социальных акторов Европейского Союза, как являющихся частью институциональной системы ЕС, так и представляющих организации работодателей, рабочих, секторальные организации. В заключении представлены выводы по трем главам, а также видение того, насколько в своей нынешнем виде социальная политика Европейского Союза может способствовать преодолению наблюдаемого кризиса евроинтеграции.

The topic of the following master's thesis is "Social dimension of European integration (1986-2010)". The objective of the paper is to extract the main features of social dimension of European integration in the period from 1986 to 2010. According to the objective the following aims have been defined: - to describe historical development of social dimension of European integration, that has been stated in official documents of EEC, later EU; - to systematize social policy of EEC/EU in different areas; - to examine the activity of main social actors in the European Union. The research's object is the phenomenon of social policy in the context of construction of Europe. The subject of the paper is social dimension of European integration and social policy of the EU. The thesis is 107 pages long, it contains introduction, three chapters, conclusion and a list of sources and literature. The introduction discloses information on significance of the research, on the objective and aims of the paper, its object and subject, as well as information on key dates of the research, its methodology, sources and literature, and previous research in the field. In the first chapter, "History of social dimension of European integration in 1986-2010", the historical development of European integration's social dimension, as stated in official documents of EEC/EU, is being described. In the second chapter, called "Areas of European Union's social policy", the systematization of EEC/EU's social policy in different areas is give. In the current research the following areas are extracted: labour relations, healthcare, education, cohesion policy. The third chapter, "Actors of European Union's social policy" is devoted to examination of activity of main social actors in the EU. The actors chosen in this paper are part of institutional system of EU, as well as those representing organizations of employers, employees and sectoral organizations. In the conclusion the summary of all three chapter is presented, along with the view on how social policy of European Union as it is now can contribute to overcoming the current crisis of European integration.
