The development of the foreign policy images of the Russian Federation and the United States: A comparative analysis

Abstract

В данной ВКР речь идет об особенностях формирования внешнеполитического имиджа США и РФ. В современном мире все больше внимания уделяется образу государства и тому, как оно будет восприниматься в мировой политике другими акторами, СМИ и гражданами разных других государств. Исследование направлено на определение того, какие исторические факторы и внутренние особенности государств привели к тем образам, которые существуют в современном мире у США и РФ. Кроме этого рассматривается общее и особенное в процессах построения внешнеполитического имиджа, основываясь на историческом контексте, на менталитете и национальных интересах, механизмах, используемых в политике.

In the graduation thesis it is talking about the features of the foreign policy image of the United States and the Russian Federation. In the modern world, it get more attention to the image of the state and how it will be perceived in world politics by other actors, media and citizens of other countries. The study aims to determine which historical factors and the internal characteristics of states led images of the US and Russia to what they are in the modern world. Also it accounts general and particular features in the process of building a foreign policy image, based on the historical context, the mentality and national interests, the mechanisms which are used in the policy.
