Zhang Zhidong and the modernisation of education in the Qing Empire in the late 19th – early 20th centuries

Abstract

В данной выпускной квалификационной работе дан анализ теоретической и практической деятельности яркого представителя китайской элиты Чжан Чжидуна в области образования конца 19 – начала 20 вв. Автор дает обширный план преобразований Чжан Чжидуна: реорганизация учебных заведений, подготовка квалифицированных кадров, реформирование экзаменационной системы и т.д.

In the final qualification work is given the analysis of theoretical and practical activities of the prominent representative of the Chinese elite Zhang Zhidong in education of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The author describes an extensive plan for the modernization of the educational system of Zhang Zhidong: reorganization of educational institutions, training of qualified personnel, the reform of the examination system and others.
