The restoration of genetics in Leningrad University (1957—1970)

Abstract

The restoration of true scientific basis of teaching process and reseach at the Department of Genetics and Breeding of Leningrad University after the return of professor M. E. Lobashey as the chairman in 1957 is described in the article. The construction of new teaching programs, the history of creation and publication of the first detailed textbook of genetics in Russia after 1948, the organization of training specialists and research in genetics of plants, animals and microorganisms are considered.

В статье описаны возрождение истинно научной базы учебного процесса и научных исследований на кафедре генетики и селекции Ленинградского университета после возвращения проф. М. Е. Лобашева заведующим в 1957 г., создание новых учебных программ, история написания и опубликования первого учебника по генетике в России после 1948 г., рассмотрены организация специализаций по генетике растений, животных и микроорганизмов.
