Noteworthy biography of the hero of this article, not only in the fact that he was one of a more than 1500 graduates of the most prestigious military school as the Russian Empire and Soviet Russia who are at different stages of the period of 1918–1945 years faithfully served the Soviet regime. We are talking, of course about Academy of the General Staff. The climax of the career service of the General Staff, Major-General G. M. Tikhmenev in “pre-Bolshevik” was the command of the army infantry division, and in the Red Army — the military leadership of the district. Meanwhile, the feature of his own early biography of service in the Red Army is that the spring of 1919, his arrest by the KGB has saved himself the head of the Soviet military establishment, L. D. Trotsky, vouch for “genshtabist” Tikhmenev to the Chairman of the Cheka F. E. Dzerzhinsky.en_GB
