The role of the salafi party “An-Nur” in modern Egypt

Abstract

After the events of the “Arab Spring” in 2011, Islamists dominated the political arena of Egypt. The article is devoted to the Salafi party An-Nur. It analyzes its genesis, the reasons for electoral success, sources of funding, the role of the party among the slufyth movement of Egypt.
