The inner monologue and indirect author's narration in Yury Kazakov's short stories in the aspect of narratology

Abstract

Магистерская диссертация посвящена структурным, стилистическим и функциональным особенностям несобственно-прямой речи и несобственно-авторскому повествованию в рассказах «Ночлег», «Двое в декабре», «Арктур – гончий пёс», «Тэдди». Особое внимание посвящается воздействию позиции нарратора, точки зрения на специфику данных двух языковых явлений в изучаемых текстах, также на степень обработанности речи персонажей.

Master's thesis is devoted to the structural, stylistic and functional features of free indirect discourse and figurrally colored narration in Yury Kazkov’s stories «Lodging for the night», «The two in December», «Arcturus – hunting dog», «Teddy». Special attention is devoted to the impact of narrator’s position, viewpoint on the specifics of these two linguistic phenomena in the listed texts, and also that how character’s speech is processed by these narrative concepts.
