Methodology of evolution of the cultural and aesthetic potential of the St Petersburg Metro

Аннотация диссертации Методология реализации культурно-эстетического потенциала среды метрополитена Санкт-Петербурга В диссертации рассматривается метрополитен, как комплексный архитектурно-пространственный объект, обладающий уникальными традициями и потенциалом эстетического воздействия, формирования и реализации принципов синтеза искусств в актуальном пространстве городской среды. Особую актуальность и характерные особенности проблема развития эстетического потенциала метрополитена приобретает в Санкт-Петербурге. Важнейшим фактором реализации культурно-эстетического потенциала среды метрополитена является комплексный подход к его проектированию в аспектах архитектурно-художественной организации. Градостроительные особенности и перспективы развития Санкт-Петербургского метрополитена обосновывают необходимость разработки методологии формирования целостного эстетического образа как основы реализации синтеза искусств в условиях комплексного средового объекта – станции метрополитена. Цель исследования реализована в разработке проектных предложений по развитию Правобережной линии Санкт-Петербургского метрополитена, на примере проектируемых станций «Театральная», «Горный институт», «Шкиперская» и «Морской фасад».

Abstract of the thesis Methodology of evolution of the cultural and aesthetic potential of the St Petersburg Metro The thesis is devoted to the problems of the aesthetic image formation of the metro stations as a complex architectural and spatial object having unique traditions and potential for aesthetic impact in the actual space of the urban environment. The author analyzes the factors and methods of the architectural and artistic organization of the environment, with development of a design model for the metro system environment, on the basis of the metropolitan railway research as a phenomenon of underground urban planning and an object of cultural heritage and contemporary creativity. The most important factor in the realization of the cultural and aesthetic potential of the metro system environment is a complex approach to its design in the aspect of architectural and artistic organization. The urban development aspect is of major importance, as it includes not only the architectural and planning conditions, but also the historical and cultural aspect, the image and spirit of the place integrated into the aesthetic image of the station. The urban development features and the prospects of St. Petersburg Metro development underlie the need to develop a methodology for formation of a coherent aesthetic image as a basis for synthesis of arts realization in the context of a complex environmental object - a metro station. The results of the research are presented in the elaborated concept and design proposals for development of the Right-Bank Line of St. Petersburg Metro, using the example of the stations “Teatralnaya”, “Gorny Institut”, “Shkiperskaya” and “Morskoy Fasad”.
