Nonverbal information on the Arab manuscripts: Essays on the Medieval literal culture

Abstract

This publication is the first attempt to create a study guide, focused on analyzing sources of non-verbal information of the Arabic manuscripts. It convincingly shows that non-verbal elements in the hand-written books play the vital role in understanding the aesthetics of the Muslim manuscript heritage. The book is aimed at the senior students in the manuscript studying of the classical Islam.

Данное издание является первой попыткой создать учебно-методическое пособие, сфокусированное на анализе источников невербальной информации арабских рукописей. Автор убедительно показывает, что невербальные элементы рукописной книги играют важнейшую роль в понимании эстетики мусульманского рукописного наследия. Пособие предназначено для студентов старших курсов, специализирующихся на углубленном изучении источниковедческой базы классического ислама.
