Abstract

Today Shi’a in terms of the number of the followers is the second-largest community after Sunni in Islam. The study guide traces back the origins of the conflict between the Sunni Islam and Shi’a Islam, with a specific focus on the vicissitudes of the early stage of the development, as well as disagreements of the in the Shi’a community and its consequences in the political, and social sphere, theology, and law. Moreover, it discusses the origin of the Shi’a communities in Russia and Azerbaijan.

Сегодня шиизм является вторым после суннизма по числу приверженцев течением в исламе. В пособии раскрываются истоки конфликта между суннитами и различными группами шиитов. Особое внимание уделено перипетиям шиитского движения на ранних этапах его развития, а также разногласиям внутри шиитской общины и их социально-политическим и богословско-правовым последствиям. Кроме того, рассматривается история возникновения и развития шиитских общин в России и Азербайджане.
