| dc.description.abstract | The effect of 24 weeks of atorvastatin treatment in addition to the basic therapy was studied in 52 patients suffering from chronic myocarditis with heart failure (NYHA classes I–II with preserved ejection fraction). It is shown that the use of atorvastatin in a daily dose of 5–20 mg leads to reduced activity of immune infl ammation and is accompanied by positive dynamics of clinical symptoms. Refs 10. Figs 2.
