University in Politics: Concerning the Perspectives of an Enquiry in the Domain of Political Theory

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to deal with a mode in political theory, regarding the issue of political role of a university. Raising this issue, I want to consider features pertain to the field of study of a university. The current perception of a theme is defi ned by a set of enquiries in university governance, sociology and philosophy of education, and history of university. The position of political theory compared to those is less defi nitive. The agenda of political theory in an enquiry appears indistinct and in need of more interdisciplinary research. There is potential for improvement contained in an organisation of a mode. Three components of a mode to be considered are: (a) previous achievements of disciplines in case of a university in politics, (b) posing the questions, responding to the nature of political theory, (c) presentation of a common ground for research perspective where political theory and other discipline are combined.
