Determining the Motivational Potential of Patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease to Participate in Disease Self-Management Programs

Abstract

Disease — management is a new direction in health care. The paper proposes the concept of selfmanagement of disease in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The questionnaire “Motivation Аssessment” was developed. It consisted of four blocks and the method of calculating the level of motivation. The results allow stratifying patients for participation in programs for disease self-management. Refs 17. Figs 2.
