Design concept for the cultural environment in the house of Princess Shakhovskaya (61, Sadovaya Street, St.Petersburg)

Abstract

Дом княгини Шаховской — это известное здание, общепризнанный памятник истории и архитектуры. Дом на Садовой остался последним домом, где проживал поэт М.Ю. Лермонтов. Все остальные уничтожены или перестроены. За сохранение объекта культурного наследия борются не только государственные структуры, но и общественность. Комитет по государственному контролю, использованию и охране памятников истории и культуры проводит работу по сохранению культурного наследия исторического центра Санкт-Петербурга и связанных с ним групп памятников также за счет расширения взаимодействия с вузами и разработки конкурса инициатив для студентов. Целью выпускной квалификационной работы являлась разработка дизайн-концепта приспособления дома княгини Шаховской, предложить решение для художественно-образного и стилистического оформления пространства, а также для проектирования музейного комплекса с соответствующей инфраструктурой. Был произведён комплексный анализ дома, включающий в себя исследование историко-культурного контекста, архитектурно-строительного решения, а также социальной и градостроительной инфраструктуры. В ходе анализа удалось выявить проблемы места проектирования и определить потенциал его развития. При работе с аналогами были выведены принципы приспособления объектов культурного наследия к современным нуждам, изучен опыт организации музейных пространств, посвященных культурным деятелям, а также выведена типология музейных и общественных пространств. На основе анализа было спроектировано концептуальное предложение образного формирования культурной среды дома княгини Шаховской. Концепция позволяет сохранить историческую ценность здания, а также адаптировать его под современные потребности. Благодаря этому преобразованию, здание становится многофункциональным культурным центром, привлекающим туристов и жителей города. Проект предполагает создание многофункционального культурного центра, посвященного поэту М. Ю. Лермонтову, который включает в себя пространства сувенирно-книжного магазина, литературного кафе, музея-квартиры поэта, современного музея, конференц зала, коворкинга и библиотеки. Проект содержит: пояснительную записку на 60 листов; иллюстративное приложение; проектную часть на трех выставочных планшетах формата 1400*1000, включающую в себя схемы, чертежи, 3-D визуализации, компьютерную презентацию. Проектная часть работы выполнена в связке 3D-модели, созданной в «Revit 2023» и «3Ds Max 2023», а также программы для пост-обработки «Adobe Photoshop 2023», чертежи сделаны в «AutoCAD 2022», презентационные планшеты собраны в «Adobe Illustrator 2023», верстка пояснительная записка создана в «Microsoft Word 2022».

The house of Princess Shakhovskaya is a famous building, a universally recognized monument of history and architecture. The house on Sadovaya Street remained the last house where the poet M.Y. Lermontov lived. All the others have been destroyed or rebuilt. Not only state structures, but also the public are fighting for the preservation of the cultural heritage site. The Committee for State Control, Use and Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments is working to preserve the cultural heritage of the historical center of St. Petersburg and related groups of monuments also by expanding cooperation with universities and developing a competition of initiatives for students. The purpose of the final qualification work was to develop a design concept for the adaptation of the house of Princess Shakhovskaya, to offer a solution for the artistic, figurative and stylistic design of the space, as well as for the design of a museum complex with appropriate infrastructure. A comprehensive analysis of the house was carried out, including a study of the historical and cultural context, architectural and construction solutions, as well as social and urban infrastructure. During the analysis, it was possible to identify the problems of the design site and determine the potential for its development. When working with analogues, the principles of adapting cultural heritage objects to modern needs were derived, the experience of organizing museum spaces dedicated to cultural figures was studied, and the typology of museum and public spaces was derived. Based on the analysis, a conceptual proposal for the figurative formation of the cultural environment of the house of Princess Shakhovskaya was designed. The concept allows you to preserve the historical value of the building, as well as adapt it to modern needs. Thanks to this transformation, the building becomes a multifunctional cultural center, attracting tourists and residents of the city. The project involves the creation of a multifunctional cultural center dedicated to the poet M. Y. Lermontov, which includes the spaces of a souvenir bookstore, a literary cafe, a poet's apartment museum, a modern museum, a conference hall, a coworking and a library. The project contains: an explanatory note on 60 sheets; an illustrative appendix; a design part on three 1400*1000 exhibition tablets, including diagrams, drawings, 3-D visualizations, and a computer presentation.
