US policy towards the EU at the present stage

Abstract

В данной работе исследуются принципы формирования внешней политики США в отношении стран Европейского союза и ЕС, как организации. Для США, как и для других значимых стран, выстраивающих отношения с Европой значим уровень национальных государств, а не Брюсселя. По причине неэффективности евробюрократии и сложности принятия решений. Но за этим также скрывается нежелание усиления Европы, в качестве консолидированных в единую структуру государств. В США воспринимают Европу, как сферу своего влияния, поэтому важный формой взаимодействия являются консолидации и объединения в коалиции на международном уровне. Не смотря на политику Трампа Европа выбрала осталась союзником США. В работе рассматриваются интеграция европейских стран, и влияние США на этот процесс. Также исследуются вопрос Великобритании, как страны, занимающей срединное положение между Европой и США в политике. И вопрос значимых международных конфликтов – санкционная политика, боевые действия между Украиной и Россией. В работе даётся ответ на вопрос приоритет чьих интересах в трансатлантических отношениях доминирует.

This paper examines the principles of formation of US foreign policy towards the countries of the European Union and the EU as an organization. For the United States, as for other significant countries building relations with Europe, what matters is the level of national states, not Brussels. Due to the ineffectiveness of the European bureaucracy and the complexity of decision-making. But this also hides the reluctance to strengthen Europe as states consolidated into a single structure. The United States perceives Europe as its sphere of influence, so consolidation and coalitions at the international level are an important form of interaction. Despite Trump’s policies, Europe has chosen to remain an ally of the United States. The work examines the integration of European countries and the influence of the United States on this process. The issue of Great Britain as a country occupying a middle position between Europe and the United States in politics is also explored. And the issue of significant international conflicts is sanctions policy, military operations between Ukraine and Russia. The work answers the question of whose interests dominate in transatlantic relations.
