The Influence of Social Networks on Shaping Values of Student Youth

Abstract

В данной дипломной работе исследуются наиболее эффективные механизмы влияния социальных сетей на формирования ценностей студенческой молодёжи на примере студентов ВУЗов г. Санкт-Петербурга, а также приводится краткое сравнение данных механизмов с положениями действующей молодёжной политики. Исследование актуально в условиях роста интернетизации общества и процесса внедрения социальных сетей во все сферы деятельности современного человека. Теоретическая основа работы включает в себя теории сетевого общества, теории социальных сетей, теории ценностей и нормативно-правовые акты молодёжной политики, также используется нормативный подход к изучению вопроса. Эмпирическая часть работы содержит результаты исследования, проведённого методом онлайн-опроса и последующего анализа данных с помощью программы IBM SPSS Statistics. Результаты показали, что наиболее задействованными в социальных сетях является образовательная, досуговая и коммуникативная деятельность, обратный эффект наблюдается в сферах политической активности и потребительского поведения. По итогу исследования можно сделать вывод о том, что социальные сети в той или иной степени оказывают влияние на многие аспекты ценностных ориентаций молодёжи.

This diploma paper studies the most effective mechanisms of social networks influence on the formation of values of student youth on the example of students of St. Petersburg universities, and also provides a brief comparison of these mechanisms with the provisions of the current youth policy. The study is relevant in the conditions of the Internetization of society and the process of introduction of social networks in all spheres of modern man's activity. The theoretical basis of the work includes theories of network society, theories of social networks, theories of values and normative legal acts of youth policy, also the normative approach to the study of the issue is used. The empirical part of the work contains the results of the research conducted by the method of online survey and subsequent data analysis with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics program. The results showed that the most involved in social networks are educational, leisure and communicative activities, the opposite effect is observed in the spheres of political activity and consumer behavior. According to the results of the study, it can be concluded that social networks to a greater or lesser extent influence many aspects of value orientations of young people.
