Le Huu Trac's "Chronicle of the Journey to the Royal City" ("Thuong kinh ky su")

Abstract

Цель данной работы — дать представление о вьетнамской дневниковой литературе на примере «Записок о путешествии в столицу» вьетнамского медика XVIII века Ле Хыу Чака. Дипломная работа состоит из Введения, четырёх глав, Заключения, Списка использованной литературы и источников, Приложения 1 и Приложения 2. В Главе I представлена полная биография Ле Хыу Чака. В Главе II «Записки о путешествии в столицу» рассматриваются как часть «Суждений об истоках врачевания Хайтхыонга». В Главе III представлен обзор путевых заметок в дальневосточном культурном регионе. В Главе IV рассмотрены характерные особенности «Записок о путешествии в столицу». В Заключении подведён итог данной работы. В Приложении 1 представлена карта Вьетнама времён Ле Хыу Чака и отмечен путь медика до столицы. В Приложении 2 дан перевод большей части текста «Записок о путешествии в столицу».

The main purpose of this work is to give an idea of the Vietnamese diary literature on the example of the «Chronicle of the Journey to the Royal City» by the prominent XVIII century’s physician Le Huu Trac. Bachelor thesis consists of an Introduction, four chapters, Conclusion, List of references and sources, Annex 1 and Annex 2. Chapter I provides a complete biography of Le Huu Trac. In Chapter II the «Chronicle of the Journey to the Royal City» are seen as a part of the «Medical Practices of the Lazy Master of Hai Thuong» («Hai Thuong Y Tong Tam Linh»). Chapter III gives an overview on the travel notes of the Far Eastern cultural region. In Chapter IV the characteristic features of the «Chronicle of the Journey to the Royal City» are presented. In Conclusion the results of the research are drawn. Appendix 1 presents the map of Vietnam of Le Huu Trac’s era with marked Le Huu Trac’s route to the capital . «Chronicle of the Journey to the Royal City» was translated from hanvan (literary Chinese) into modern Vietnamese several times. The Russian translation is based on the modern Vietnamese translation by Phan Vo, who divided the «Chronicle of the Journey to the Royal City» into ten chapters. Appendix 2 presents the translation of the six chapters of the «Chronicle of the Journey to the Royal City».
