Ditransitive constructions in the Bantu languages: A comparative analysis

Abstract

Данная работа посвящена изучению дитранзитивных конструкций в ряде языков семьи банту, входящей в состав нигеро-конголезской макросемьи. Конструкции с дитранзитивными глаголами уже давно находятся в поле зрения лингвистов: можно найти обширные сведения по данной тематике на примере самых разнообразных языков, изучением которых занимались профессиональные ученые - лингвисты. Однако, к сожалению, несмотря на то, что языковая семья банту является одной из наиболее изученных, работ, посвященных непосредственно дитранзитивам в языках банту, немного; имеющиеся же, в свою очередь, не дают исчерпывающих описаний данного языкового феномена.

Актуальность работы заключается не только в том, что это одно из немногих исследований по дитранзитивам в банту на русском языке, но и в том, что автор попытался обобщить все то, что уже известно по данной теме, дополнив эту информацию и заполнив некоторые лакуны при помощи работы с информантами, а также провести сравнительный анализ дитранзитивных конструкций на материале пятнадцати разных (но родственных) языков, выявляя общие закономерности и различия.

This study centres around Ditransitive Constructions in some Bantu languages, which comprise a separate group within the Niger-Congo language family. Ditransitive Constructions have long been in the field of interest of many linguists, and one can find a lot of papers dedicated to this linguistic phenomenon on the material of various languages. However, despite being one of the most well-studied African language families, there are not so many scientific works on The Bantu Ditransitive and the ones that are available seldom provide us with a detailed information on the topic concerned.

Thematic justification of this paper is not only that it is one of the few studies published in Russian on the topic, but also that the author tried to summarise all the existing material concerning the subject, collect new data and fill the existing gaps with the help of native-speakers. In addition, one of the aims of the study was to carry out a comparative analysis of Ditransitive Constructions using the data on 15 different, but related languages, and try to reveal distinctions and commonalities.
