Historical and patriotic motifs in the Afghan folk distichs of landay

Abstract

Выпускная работа посвящена анализу историко-патриотической тематики в двустишиях-ландэй, относящихся к одному из наиболее популярных жанров афганской народной поэзии. Объектом исследования в настоящей работе являются тексты отобранных по тематическому признаку ландэй,предметом исследования – конкретные темы и мотивы, составляющие содержание этих стихов. Во введении обоснована актуальность темы исследования, определены его цели и задачи. В первой главе рассмотрена история изучения паштунского фольклора в целом и произведений жанра ландэй в частности. Во второй главе дана общая характеристика жанра ландэй, выделены его отличительные черты. В третьей главе проанализированы исторические, социальные, религиозные и патриотические темы и мотивы в стихах-ландэй. В заключении содержатся основные выводы исследования и высказаны предположения по дальнейшему использованию произведений жанра ландэй в качестве источников по истории и культуре паштунских племен.

The present study focuses on the historical and patriotic themes in the Landey verses, which belong to the most popular genre of the Pashto folklore poetry. Based on the original texts of the thematically selected Landey distiches this research attempts at scrutinizing the main themes and motives in their contents. The Introduction discusses the scholarly relevance of the topic of this research and identifies its aim and tasks. The first chapter outlines the history of the study of Pashto folklore in general and of the Landey verses in particular. The second chapter gives a general description of the Landey genre and its distinctive features. The third chapter examines historical, social, religious and patriotic motifs and themes in the Landey verses. The Conclusion summarizes the main results of the research and argues in favor of the earlier expressed opinion which suggests to treat the Landey distiches as the extremely important literary source for the study of the Pashtuns’ history and culture.
