The integral estimate of a terroir as a instrument of vineyard soil bonitet

Abstract

Выбор земельного участка является одной из первых и наиболее важных стадий на траектории реализации проекта виноградника. Принятие конечного решения на данном этапе определяется множеством факторов, среди которых выделяются стоимость земельного участка, его логистические параметры, туристическая привлекательность, а главное — пригодность участка для возделывания винограда, определяемая совокупностью почвенных, климатических, орографических условий, которые в производственной практике виноградарства и виноделия объединены в понятие «терруар». Целью данной работы являлась предложение подхода к интегральной оценке почвенного компонента винодельческого терруара и его апробация на ключевых участках, располагающихся в контрастных физико-географических условиях Франции (коммуны Le Bignon и Domme) и России (посёлки Фруктовое и Береговой). В ходе работы был определен оптимальный перечень анализируемых почвенных свойств, при формировании использовались параметры, учитываемые при выборе сортов подвоев — проектном решении, которое в наибольшей степени зависит от почвенных условий. Далее, была проведена процедура свертывания информации о почвенном компоненте терруара ключевых участков и вычисление локально-ориентированных весовых коэффициентов. По результатам усредненной интегральной оценки, проведенной в метровой толще почвенных профилей, был получен ранжированный ряд ключевых участков от наилучших почвенных условий к наихудшим: п. Береговой (балл 0,84), ком. Le Bignon (балл 0,70), п. Фруктовое (баллы 0,66 и 0,65), ком. Domme (балл 0,63), значения которого были сопоставлены результатами применения альтернативных параметрических методов Storie Index, Productivity Index, ПЭИ.

Land selection is one of the first and most important stages in the trajectory of a vineyard project. The final decision at this stage is determined by many factors, among which are the cost of land, its logistic parameters, tourist attractiveness, and, most importantly, the suitability of the site for grape cultivation, determined by a set of soil, climatic and orographic conditions, which in industrial practice of viticulture and winemaking are combined in the concept of "terroir". The aim of this work was to propose an approach to the integral evaluation of the soil component of wine terroir and to test it at key sites located in the contrasting physical and geographical conditions of France (the communes of Le Bignon and Domme) and Russia (the villages of Fruktovoye and Beregovoye). In the course of the work, an optimal list of soil properties to be analysed was determined, with the parameters taken into account in the selection of rootstock varieties, a design decision which is most dependent on soil conditions. Next, a procedure was carried out to collapse information on the soil component of the terroir of key sites and to calculate locally-oriented weighting coefficients. Based on the results of the averaged integral assessment carried out in the one-meter thickness of soil profiles, a ranked series of key sites was obtained from the best soil conditions to the worst: Beregovoy (score 0.84), Com. Le Bignon (score 0.70), Fruktovoye (scores 0.66 and 0.65), com. Domme (score 0.63), whose values were compared with the results of alternative parametric methods Storie Index, Productivity Index, PEI.
