The disintegration concept in the EU in the context of the European integration

Abstract

Данная магистерская выпускная квалификационная работа посвящена исследованию концепции дезинтеграции в ЕС в контексте европейского интеграционного процесса. Цель работы - концептуализировать феномен дезинтеграции в ЕС и рассмотреть практические проявления данного феномена на примере кризисов, потрясших ЕС в последние десятилетия. Первая глава посвящена теоретическому аспекту, в которой производится концепептуализация явления дезинтеграции и факторы его развития. Во второй главе рассматривается явление дезинтеграции в кризисах Еврозоны и Шенгена, а также сравнительный анализ этих двух кризисов в контексте дезинтеграции. Третья глава посвящена анализу противостояния национального и наднационального уровней европейского интеграционного проекта как одно из проявлений феномена дезинтеграции. Исследователь делает вывод о том, что европейская интеграция/дезинтеграция является непрерывным, а не дихотомическим понятием, помещенным в континуум (или "ось") с двумя крайними концами: полномасштабная интеграция на одном конце и полномасштабная дезинтеграция на другом конце, что позволяет рассматривать интеграцию и дезинтеграцию как двухнаправленный и многомерный процесс, практические проявления которого можно наблюдать во время европейских кризисов. Исследование несет в себе теоретическую ценность, являясь основой для последующего более глубокого изучения процессов европейской интеграции и дезинтеграции в ЕС в будущем.

This master's thesis includes the study of the conceptualization of disintegration in the EU in the context of the European integration process. The purpose of the work is to conceptualize the phenomenon of disintegration in the EU and analyze the practical iterations of such phenomena in times of crises that affected the EU since 2000s. The first chapter is theoretical, which consists of the conceptualization of the phenomena of disintegration and the factors of its development. The second chapter examines the phenomenon of disintegration in the Eurozone and Schengen crises, as well as a comparative analysis of these two crises in the context of disintegration. The third chapter is devoted to the analysis of the confrontation between the national and supranational levels of the European integration project as one of the manifestations of the phenomenon of disintegration. The researcher concludes that European integration/disintegration is a continuous rather than a dichotomous process, placed on a continuum (or "axis") with two extreme ends: full-scale integration at one end and full-scale disintegration at the other end, which allows to perceive integration and disintegration as a bidirectional and multidimensional process, practical manifestations of which can be seen in various European crises. The study has a theoretical value as it is the basis for a subsequent deeper study of the European integration and disintegration processes in the EU in the future.
