Residents’ satisfaction with comfort of urban environment (a case study of the Gorod Gatchina municipal formation)

Abstract

Актуальность данной темы базируется на непрекращающемся развитии городов в современном мире, что рождает потребность в более частых и точных мониторингах функционирования населенных пунктов. Более того, такие исследования позволяют изучать потребности современного горожанина, что также является одним из перспективных направлений социологической науки. В ходе исследования был проведен онлайн-опрос, в котором приняли участие 405 респондентов. Дополнительно был проведен контент-анализ муниципальной программы по формированию комфортной городской среды и ее отчетов, с целью определения ее эффективности. Результаты. Проблема настоящего исследования заключается в недостатке информации у муниципальной власти об удовлетворенности жителей Гатчины комфортностью городской среды, что является следствием отсутствия обратной связи от населения. В результате исследования был выявлен уровень удовлетворенности жителей, изучены их запросы и предпочтения. В ходе исследования также были выявлены и изучены факторы, влияющие на удовлетворенность комфортностью городской среды. На основании полученных данных разработаны рекомендации по повышению уровня удовлетворенности комфортностью городской среды жителей Гатчины.

The relevance of this topic is based on the ongoing development of the cities in the modern world, and thus more frequent and accurate monitorings of the functioning of settlements are necessary. Moreover, such research enable us study the needs of contemporary citizens, which is also one of the promising areas of the sociological science. During this research an online-poll was held among 405 respondents. Additionally, the thesis conducted a content analysis of the municipal program and its reports, which are devoted to the formation of the comfort urban environment in order to determine its effectiveness. Results. The problem of this study in the fact that the municipal authorities in Gatchina have the lack of information about the satisfaction of residents with comfort of urban environment as a consequence of the absence of feedback from the residents. As a result of the study were determined the level of residents’ satisfaction, explored their requests and preferences. During the study were also determined and explored the factors that influence the satisfaction with comfort of urban environment. Based on the data obtained, the recommendations were developed to increase the level of the satisfaction of residents with comfort of urban environment in Gatchina.
