| ru_RU |
dc.description.abstract | Kimberlites are rare magmatic rocks, usually low volume, which were formed at the depth varying from 150 to 200 km. They contain xenoliths of different composition, which were forced up from depths varying from mantle to the upper horizons of the crust. Xenoliths represent an important source of information concerning Earth interior. Researching xenoliths makes possible to figure out the conditions of their formation and metamorphism. According to the previous published research lower crust of the investigated region is composed of granulites, yet one of the recent publications claimed that the lower crust rocks were formed in the conditions of amphibolite facies (Perchuk et al., 2021). The main purpose of this project is to test and to confirm or disconfirm aforementioned research. The aim of the research project was to provide petrographic characteristic and to investigate the genesis of xenoliths granulites from the kimberlite pipes Udachnaya and Komsomolskaya. Was performed petrographic description of xenoliths thin sections and investigated the composition of the mineral and probable zoning of garnet, using microzond method and also estimated the temperature and the pressure of rock’s formation using thermobarometry and phase diagram with the help of Perple X program. The xenoliths were classified as granulites belonging to the lower crust. As a result the hypothesis published in (Perchuk et al., 2021) was disproved and a possible reason could be imposition of the amphibolite facies in xenolyths onto granulites facies. | en_GB |
