Museum cooperation between Russia and Great Britain

Abstract

Целью магистерской диссертации является выявление основных направлений и форм международного музейного сотрудничества России и Великобритании, а также определение проблем и перспектив его развития. В исследовании рассматриваются нормативно-правовые акты, которые обеспечивают функционирование музеев России и Великобритании и регламентируют формы международного сотрудничества, документы ЮНЕСКО и ИКОМ, материалы Британского совета и Россотрудничества, профильных организаций и фондов, информация официальных сайтов российских и британских музеев. В рамках исследования выявляются формы и характеризуется деятельность основных акторов сотрудничества музеев России и Великобритании, анализируются особенности управления музеями России и Великобритании и их развития в контексте трансформации модели классического музея. Важной частью работы является исследование деятельности российских и британских музеев в цифровой среде и анализ современных тенденций в развитии музеев России и Великобритании и их международной деятельности. Анализ музейного сотрудничества России и Великобритании позволяет сделать вывод о том, что ведущие музеи двух стран являются институтами «мягкой силы» и самостоятельными акторами внешней культурной политики. Страны заинтересованы в межмузейном сотрудничестве, что поможет преодолеть политический кризис.

The purpose of the master's thesis is to identify the main directions and forms of international museum cooperation between Russia and the UK, as well as to identify the problems and prospects for its development. The study examines the legal acts that ensure the functioning of museums in Russia and the UK and regulate the forms of international cooperation, UNESCO and ICOM documents, materials from the British Council and Rossotrudnichestvo, specialized organizations and foundations, information from the official websites of Russian and British museums. The study identifies the forms and characterizes the activities of the main actors of cooperation between museums in Russia and the UK, analyzes the features of the management of museums in Russia and the UK and their development in the context of the transformation of the classical museum model. An important part of the work is the study of the activities of Russian and British museums in the digital environment and the analysis of current trends in the development of museums in Russia and the UK and their international activities. An analysis of museum cooperation between Russia and the UK allows to conclude that the leading museums of the two countries are institutions of «soft power» and independent actors in foreign cultural policy. The countries are interested in inter-museum cooperation, which will help overcome the political crisis.
