A hierarchical relief structure as a factor of spatial diversity of forest vegetation: evidence from the Karelian Isthmus

Работа посвящена выявлению закономерностей влияния иерархических уровней рельефа на формирование структуры и состава лесов на примере Карельского перешейка. В работе используются данные цифровой модели рельефа (ЦМР), дистанционного зондирования земли (ДЗЗ), лесоустроительные данные и материалы полевых исследований. В ходе работы выделена иерархическая структура рельефа методом использования алгоритма быстрого преобразования Фурье (БПФ, FFT). По результатам анализа взаимосвязи форм рельефа с данными о структуре лесов, определено влияние различных уровней рельефа на пространственное разнообразие лесной растительности, выявлены закономерности этого влияния, подготовлены картографические материалы.

The work is devoted to revealing the regularities of the influence of relief hierarchical levels on the formation of forest structure and composition by the example of the Karelian Isthmus. Digital elevation model (DEM) data, remote sensing (ERS), forest survey data and field research materials are used in the work. The hierarchical structure of the relief was singled out using the fast Fourier transform (FFT) algorithm. Based on the results of the analysis of the relationship between relief forms and data on the structure of forests, the influence of different levels of relief on the spatial diversity of forest vegetation was determined, the regularities of this influence were identified, and cartographic materials were prepared.
