Temporary exhibition and educational spaces in the urban environment

Abstract

Актуальность темы исследования обусловлена важностью, необходимостью и потенциалом создания и развития временных выставочных и образовательных пространств в городской среде, главная особенность которых заключается в их общедоступности и мобильности. Востребованность в разработке средового подхода в данной сфере появляется все больше в связи с тенденцией к развитию, оживлению общественных пространств, повышением их роли, как одной из приоритетных социальных задач, продвижению общественных и творческих инициатив, задачами укрепления коммуникативных и культурных функций городской среды. В первой главе «Аспекты формирования и развития выставочно-образовательных пространств в городской среде» раскрыты понятия и основные аспекты феноменов «выставочно-образовательная деятельность», «городское культурное пространство» и «социокультурная деятельность». Исследована история развития выставочно-образовательной деятельности в пространстве города. Определены компоненты и средства формообразования, а также разработана средовая карта локаций. Во второй главе «Опыт и потенциал развития временных выставочно-образовательных пространств в Санкт-Петербурге» по результатам изучения современной практики выставочно-образовательной деятельности в городских пространствах Санкт-Петербурга отмечены особенности реализованных проектов и контекста, действующие и потенциальные локации. Проведен SWOT-анализ существующего состояния. Обозначены перспективные направления развития. Определены институции и инициаторы выставочно-образовательной деятельности. В третьей главе «Дизайн-концепция формирования открытых выставочно-образовательных пространств» определены принципы средового подхода к дизайну выставочно-образовательных объектов. Приведена разработанная типология открытых выставочно-образовательных пространств, а также рекомендации по дизайн-проектированию элементов и систем оборудования. Предложена концепция и проектные решения по формированию открытой выставочно-образовательной среды на примере района Нарвской заставы в Санкт-Петербурге. В заключении подведен итог проведенного исследования и определена значимость выставочно-образовательных пространств в развитии городской среды и культуры. Разработка системного средового подхода к дизайну открытых временных выставочно-образовательных пространств в контексте актуальных процессов и социальных запросов будет способствовать созданию новых точек притяжения, развитию общественных и социокультурных функций городских пространств, повышению качества городской среды.

The relevance of the research topic is due to the importance, necessity and potential of creating and developing temporary exhibition and educational spaces in the urban environment, the main feature of which is their general accessibility and mobility. The demand for the development of an environmental approach in this area appears more and more in connection with the trend towards development, revitalization of public spaces, increasing their role as one of the priority social tasks, promoting public and creative initiatives, and strengthening the communicative and cultural functions of the urban environment. The first chapter "Aspects of formation and development of exhibition and educational spaces in the urban environment" reveals the concepts and main aspects of the phenomena "exhibition and educational activities", "urban cultural space" and "sociocultural activity". The history of the development of exhibition and educational activities in the city space has been studied. The components and means of shaping have been determined, and an environmental map of locations has been developed. In the second chapter "Experience and potential for the development of temporary exhibition and educational spaces in St. Petersburg", based on the results of studying the modern practice of exhibition and educational activities in the urban spaces of St. Petersburg, the features of implemented projects and the context, current and potential locations are noted. A SWOT analysis of the current state was carried out. Perspective directions of development are designated. Institutions and initiators of exhibition and educational activities have been identified. The third chapter "Design concept for the formation of open exhibition and educational spaces" defines the principles of an environmental approach to the design of exhibition and educational objects. The developed typology of open exhibition and educational spaces, as well as recommendations for the design of equipment elements and systems are given. The concept and design solutions for the formation of an open exhibition and educational environment are proposed on the example of the Narva Zastava area in St. Petersburg. In conclusion, the results of the study were summed up and the significance of exhibition and educational spaces in the development of the urban environment and culture was determined. The development of a systematic environmental approach to the design of open temporary exhibition and educational spaces in the context of current processes and social demands will contribute to the creation of new points of attraction, the development of public and socio-cultural functions of urban spaces, and the improvement of the quality of the urban environment.
