Characteristics of educational and professional motivation of students-defectologists

Abstract

Исследование направлено на изучение учебной и профессиональной мотивации студентов-дефектологов. Проанализированы теоретические основы проблемы, рассмотрены учебная и профессиональная мотивация как психологические категории, описаны психологические аспекты профессиональной деятельности психологов, приведены данные исследований учебной и профессиональной мотивации студентов-дефектологов. Общей закономерностью учебной и профессиональной мотивации обучающихся по направлению «Специальное (дефектологическое) образование» и «Педагогическое образование» является ориентация на внутреннюю мотивацию. Студенты выбирают профессию ориентируясь на такие факторы, как совпадение характерологических особенностей с профессией, возможность работать с людьми и самосовершенствоваться. Учебная мотивация студентов основана на возможности обеспечить успешность своей будущей профессиональной деятельности, потребности стать высококвалифицированным специалистом. Однако, при сравнительном анализе исследуемых групп установлено, что учебная и профессиональная мотивация студентов, обучающихся по направлению «Педагогическое образование», преимущественно является внутренней; будущих дефектологов – внешней положительной. Результаты исследования могут помочь оценить потребность в формировании мотивационной сферы студентов еще на этапе их обучения в ВУЗе, а также содействовать пониманию направлений разработки и реализации программ формирования мотивации.

The study is aimed at studying the educational and professional motivation of students-defectologists. The theoretical foundations of the problem are analyzed, educational and professional motivation are considered as psychological categories, psychological aspects of the professional activity of psychologists are described, and data from studies of the educational and professional motivation of students-defectologists are given. The general pattern of educational and professional motivation of students in the direction of "Special (defectological) education" and "Pedagogical education" is the orientation towards internal motivation. Students choose a profession based on such factors as the coincidence of character traits with the profession, the opportunity to work with people and improve themselves. The educational motivation of students is based on the ability to ensure the success of their future professional activities, the need to become a highly qualified specialist. However, in a comparative analysis of the studied groups, it was found that the educational and professional motivation of students studying in the direction of "Pedagogical education" is mainly internal; future defectologists - external positive. The results of the study can help assess the need for the formation of the motivational sphere of students at the stage of their studies at the university, as well as help to understand the directions for the development and implementation of programs for the formation of motivation
