Design concept for identity identification of the urban environment of the historic settlement: a case study of Shlisselburg

Abstract

Актуальность темы обусловлена необходимостью поиска методов формирования среды малых городов со статусом исторического поселения на примере Шлиссельбурга. Город включен в перечень исторических поселений, имеющих особое значение для истории и культуры Ленинградской области; стратегией создания комфортной городской среды в малых городах и повышением статуса внутреннего туризма как средства развития территории. Объектом исследования являлось выявление индивидуальности малых исторических городов и поселений средствами дизайна среды. На сегодняшний день в отечественной практике обозначена такая задача, как поиск путей развития малых городов России. Сохранение идентичности при формировании нового качества среды является одним из путей возможного решения. В исследовании рассмотрен город Шлиссельбург, который нуждается в создании комфортной городской среды. Предложен алгоритм действий на основании применения инструментов дизайна среды для центральной части города с учетом сохранения индивидуальности городского контекста, выявлены возможности организации архитектурно-ландшафтного сценария. Таким образом, предложен алгоритм действий по выявлению индивидуальности города в процессе создания комфортной среды. Целью алгоритма становится работа дизайнера по организации комфортного пространства в малых городах с использованием метода “Сценарные карты”. Также предложенный алгоритм даст любому городу шанс сохранить и выявить свою индивидуальность при создании комфортной городской среды.

The relevance of the topic is due to the need to search for methods of forming the environment of small towns with the status of a historical settlement on the example of Shlisselburg. The city is included in the list of historical settlements of particular importance for the history and culture of the Leningrad region; the strategy of creating a comfortable urban environment in small towns and increasing the status of domestic tourism as a means of developing the territory. The object of the study was to identify the individuality of small historical cities and settlements by means of environmental design. To date, such a task as the search for ways to develop small towns in Russia has been identified in domestic practice. The preservation of identity in the formation of a new quality of the environment is one of the possible solutions. The study examines the city of Shlisselburg, which needs to create a comfortable urban environment. An algorithm of actions based on the use of environmental design tools for the central part of the city is proposed, taking into account the preservation of the individuality of the urban context, the possibilities of organizing an architectural landscape scenario are revealed. Thus, an algorithm of actions is proposed to identify the individuality of the city in the process of creating a comfortable environment. The goal of the algorithm is the designer's work on organizing a comfortable space in small towns using the “Scenario Maps" method. Also, the proposed algorithm will give any city a chance to preserve and reveal its individuality while creating a comfortable urban environment.
