Actualisation of a historical and cultural environment: a case study of the settlement of Lavra, the Pechora District, the Pskov Region

Abstract

Актуальность работы обусловлена растущей тенденцией на выявление уникальности мест проживания, в том числе в малых городах и поселках. Существует определенное количество поселков и городов, в том числе на приграничных территориях, имеющих богатую историю, память места и идентичность, но при этом утративших свою визуальную индивидуальность. Цель исследования заключается в разработке и предложении подхода средового проектирования для историко-культурной среды, находящейся на приграничных территориях. Для достижения поставленной цели предусматривается решение следующих задач: 1.Рассмотрение актуальных приемов работы с архитектурным культурным наследием и адаптации его к современным условиям; 2.Анализ мирового и отечественного опыта адаптации архитектурного культурного наследия; 3.Исследование проблем выявления идентичности культурного наследия; 4. Проведение комплексного анализа объекта исследования, его состояния на данный момент, изучение потребностей целевой аудитории проекта; 5.Выявление факторов идентичности места на основе анализа историко-культурного каркаса поселка Лавры; 6.Рассмотрение современных проблем и потенциала развития выбранной территории; 7.Подбор инструментария для построения концептуальной и пространственной модели; 8.Разработка нарративного сценария актуализации проектируемой среды; 9.Проектирование объемно-пространственной модели на основе разработанного алгоритма по работе с историко-культурной средой. Предметом исследования является актуализация и адаптация культурного наследия, визуализация памяти места и идентичности с помощью средств дизайна среды на примере поселка Лавры. Объектом исследования является архитектурное культурное наследие приграничных территорий. Актуализация и адаптация архитектурного культурного наследия к современным условиям с помощью подобранных инструментов дизайна среды позволит по-новому раскрыть сложившуюся среду, выявить в ней как новые смыслы, так и историческую глубину, и вывести ее на уровень, соответствующий современным нормам дизайна и запросам потребителей. Результатом исследования является проектное предложение, цель которого – актуализировать и адаптировать историко-культурную среду поселка Лавры. В основу работы легли рассмотренные и подобранные инструменты дизайна среды: -символические факторы идентичности места; -нарративный сценарий, в основе которого лежит построение интуитивного, событийного и целевого сценариев; -методы ревитализации и рекультивации для работы с архитектурной и ландшафтной средой.

The relevance of the work is due to the tendency to identify the uniqueness of places of residence, including in small towns and villages. There is a certain number of towns and cities, including in the border areas, that have a rich history, memory of the place and belonging, but at the same time have lost their visual identity. The purpose of the study is to develop and propose a decision on the development of the environment for the historical and cultural environment located in the border areas. To achieve this goal, it is planned to solve the following tasks: 1. Consideration of current methods of working with architectural cultural heritage and adapting it to modern conditions; 2. Analysis of world and domestic experience in adapting the architectural cultural heritage; 3. Research into the problems of identifying the identity of cultural heritage; 4. Conducting a comprehensive analysis of the object of study, its current state, studying the needs of the target audience of the project; 5. Identification of factors of identity of the place based on the analysis of the historical and cultural framework of the village of Lavra; 6. Consideration of modern problems and development potential of the selected territory; 7. Selection of tools for building a conceptual and spatial model; 8. Development of a narrative scenario for updating the designed environment; 9. Designing a volume-spatial model based on the developed algorithm for working with the historical and cultural environment. The subject of the research is the actualization and adaptation of cultural heritage, the visualization of the memory of a place and identity with the help of environmental design tools on the example of the village of Lavra. The object of the study is the architectural cultural heritage of the border areas. Actualization and adaptation of the architectural cultural heritage to modern conditions with the help of selected environmental design tools will allow to reveal the existing environment in a new way, reveal both new meanings and historical depth in it, and bring it to a level that meets modern design standards and consumer demands. The result of the study is a project proposal, the purpose of which is to update and adapt the historical and cultural environment of the Lavra village. The work was based on the considered and selected environment design tools: -symbolic factors of place identity; -narrative scenario, which is based on the construction of intuitive, event and target scenarios; -methods of revitalization and reclamation for working with the architectural and landscape environment.
