Language policy in Egypt: History and current issues

Магистерская диссертация Бадретдинова Артёма Филюзовича на тему «Языковая политика Египта: история и современность» посвящена особенностям развития языковой политики в Египте и экстралингвистическим факторам, оказывающим на нее влияние. В основной части диссертации рассматриваются некоторые теоретические вопросы, связанные с языковой политикой и социолингвистикой. Помимо этого в работе представлена информация об основных этапах проникновения арабского языка на территорию Египта и арабизации египетского населения. Кроме того, в рамках нашего исследования мы описали некоторые характеристики современной языковой ситуации и языковой политики, а также попробовали дать прогнозы относительно их дальнейшего развития. Настоящая ВКР состоит из Оглавления, Введения, четырех Глав, Заключения и Списка литературы. Список использованной литературы насчитывает 73 наименования.

This master's thesis on the topic "Language policy of Egypt: History and Present development" is devoted to the peculiarities of the development of language policy in Egypt and extralinguistic factors influencing it. The main part of the thesis deals with some theoretical issues related to language policy and sociolinguistics. In addition, the paper provides information on the main stages of the penetration of the Arabic language into the territory of Egypt and the Arabization of the Egyptian population. Moreover, as part of our study, we described some characteristics of the current language situation and language policy, and also tried to make predictions about it's future development. This master's thesis consists of a table of contents, an introduction, four chapters, a conclusion and a list of references. The list of used literature includes 73 titles.
