Verbal signs of architectural monuments that organize the cultural and historical map of the city: A case study of St Petersburg

Abstract

Данная диссертация посвящена изучению и описанию организации наименований значимых архитектурных памятников с позиций лингвокультурологии как особой сферы научного знания о мире. В диссертационном исследовании представлены определения языковых кодов с позиций когнитивной лингвистики и лингвистики текста как коммуникативных компонентов лингвокультурологии. В работе даны классификационные свойства кода языка архитектуры и его связь с вербальным кодом русского языка. Введено и аргументировано понятие лингвокультурного поликодового знака как единицы культурно-исторического пространства Санкт-Петербурга и поликодового текста. Диссертация адресована в первую очередь студентам отделения «русский язык как иностранный», аспирантам, читателям, интересующимся взаимосвязью языка и культуры.

This dissertation is devoted to the study and description of the organization of names of significant architectural monuments from the perspective of cultural linguistics as a special area of scientific knowledge about the world. The dissertation research presents the definitions of language codes from the perspective of cognitive linguistics and text linguistics as communicative components of linguoculturology. The paper presents the classification properties of the architectural language code and its connections with the verbal code of the Russian language. The concept of a linguocultural polycode sign as a unit of the cultural and historical space of St. Petersburg and a polycode text is introduced and argued. The dissertation is addressed primarily to students of the department "Russian as a foreign language", graduate students, readers which interested in the relationship between language and culture.
