| ru_RU |
dc.description.abstract | To estimate the proximity of the orbits of celestial bodies (usually comets, asteroids, and meteoroid complexes), several metrics have been proposed in recent years that transform various spaces of Keplerian orbits into metric ones. An important role is played by quotient spaces, which make it possible not to take into account orbital elements that change in a secular manner under the influence of various perturbations. Three such spaces have been previously studied. One ignores nodes, another ignores periapsis arguments, and a third ignores both. To complete the picture, another fourth factor space was introduced in the work, in which orbits are identified with arbitrary node longitudes and periapsis arguments, provided that their sum (periapsis longitude) is fixed. A function is defined that plays the role of the distance between the indicated classes of orbits and satisfies the first two axioms of the metric space. Unfortunately, for this function, the third one, the triangle axiom, is violated, at least for large eccentricities. However, in two important special cases (one of the orbits is circular, the longitudes of the pericenters of all three orbits are the same) the triangle axiom is true. The paper presents an algorithm for calculating distances in the new metric and the corresponding program. In the problems of identifying meteor showers, searching for their parent bodies, and identifying fragments of these bodies, an important role is played by such an object as the average orbit of the shower. Here it is proposed to determine the average orbit of the family, based on metrics in the space of orbits. Exact formulas are given for their calculation in the space H and its three quotient spaces. Based on these data, the average orbits of several meteor showers were calculated. | en_GB |
