dc.description.abstractThe article deals with art works, ordered by Maximilian I. These pieces of art are studied in connection with evolution of landscape in German art of the Renaissance. The meaning of landscape fragments is analyzed in works of every participating artist (A. Altdorfer, J. Kölderer, Historia-Meister, A. Dürer, W. Traut, H. Springinklee, H. Burgkmair, H. Schäufelein, L. Beck). Stylistic evolution of landscape images is revealed in works of these masters. The research is concluded by discussion of possible graphic sources of the analyzed works. Some parallels are found in the culture of the end of XV— the beginning of the XVI century. Refs 33.en_GB
