Construction of virtual escapist spaces as an alternative life strategy of modern youth

Abstract

Дипломная работа посвящена актуальной теме эскапизма в молодёжной среде. Цель – анализ жизненной стратегии эскапистского сообщества хикикомори. В первой главе рассмотрены подходы к определению эскапизма, причины и следствия его распространения. Во второй главе - особенности виртуальных эскапистских практик. Третья глава посвящена анализу жизненной стратегии хикикомори. Проведён анализ хештегов, контекстуальный и нарративный анализ. В заключении сделаны выводы и даны рекомендации. Работа состоит из введения, трёх глав, заключения и списка литературы. Было использовано 77 источников, объём работы – 98 стр.

This graduation work is devoted to escapism amongst the youth. The aim of this study is to analyze life strategy of hikikomori. In the first chapter the author gives her own definition of escapism; analyzes social processes that give rise to this phenomenon; considers the consequences of the spread of escapism. In the second chapter the attention is focused on transformation of escapism in virtual reality. The last chapter is the empirical part of this study. The following methods are used: contextual and narrative analysis, analysis of hashtags. Conclusions and recommendations are given at the end of the study. The paper contains 98 pages, includes 2 figures, 4 tables and references 77 other works.
