International sporting contacts of St.Petersburg: A historical aspect (the case of game sports)

Abstract

Выпускная квалификационная работа посвящена истории становления и развития игровых видов спорта в Санкт-Петербурге, а также роли международных спортивных связей в развитии международного сотрудничества города с конца XIX века по настоящее время. Особое внимание уделено игровым видам спорта: футболу, волейболу, баскетболу и теннису. Автор рассматривает влияние международных спортивных соревнований, проводимых в Петербурге, на имидж города.

Final qualification work is devoted to the history of formation and development of game sports in Saint-Petersburg, as well as the role of international sports relations in the development of international cooperation of the city since the end of the 19th century till present time. The special attention is paid to game sports: football, volleyball, basketball and tennis. The author considers influence of the international sports competitions, which were held in St. Petersburg, on the city's image.
