The Schleswig-Holstein crisis (13 November 1863 - 30 October 1864) and its reflection in the public opinion in Russia and England: A comparative analysis

Работа посвящена Шлезвиг-Гольштейнскому кризису (13 ноября 1863-30 октября 1864 гг.) и его отражению в общественном мнении России и Англии. Основными источниками для работы послужили ведущие периодические издания Англии и России, в которых отражены события в Шлезвиге и Гольштейне. На основе сравнения общего и различного в восприятии датско-немецкого конфликта общественностью Англии и России делаются выводы о важности этого кризиса для европейской политики, об отношении стран к объединению Германии и общих представлениях двух держав друг о друге.

Work is devoted to Schleswig-Holstein crisis (November 13, 1863 - October 30, 1864) and to its reflection in public opinion of Russia and England. The main sources for the work are the leading periodicals of England and Russia in which were reflected the events in Schleswig-Holstein. On the basis of comparison of the general and various in the perception of the Danish-German conflict by the public of England and Russia were made conclusions about importance of this crisis for the European policy, about the relation of the countries to unification of Germany and the general representations of two powers about each other.
