Valuation of high-risk projects with the abandonment option

Abstract

В данной выпускной квалификационной работе рассмотрена проблема инвестиционной оценки высокорискованных проектов. В работе проанализированы традиционные методы оценки, а также метод на основе реальных опционов. Результат работы - иллюстрация возможной ценности опциона на остановку, а также предложение модели, позволяющей учесть эту ценность в оценке.

This graduation paper is concentrated on the investment valuation of the high-risk projects. The analysis of the traditional valuation methods has been conducted and presented in the paper as well as the analysis of the real options approach to the valuation. There are also presented some calculations that illustrate the additional value that the option (abandonement option in particular) brings to the project. The final result of the work is the model that combines the easiness of the traditional valuation methods with the preciseness of the real option approach.
