A behaviour control and perceptions of freedom and responsibility in adolescence

Abstract

Для изучения связи контроля поведения с представления о свободе и ответственности и уровнем самооценки свободы и ответственности было обследовано 113 подростков общеобразовательных школ Санкт-Петербурга. Измерялось: представления о свободе и ответственности (2 мини-сочинения на темы «Свобода» и «Ответственность»); самооценка свободы и ответственности (4 десятибалльные шкалы); контроль поведения («Стиль саморегуляции поведения - 98» В. И. Моросановой, ЭмИн Д.В. Люсина, «Шкала контроля за действием» Ю. Куля в адаптации С.А. Шапкина). Обработка данных: контент-анализ, корреляционный анализ. Результаты. Наиболее распространенные представления подростков о свободе: социальная свобода (независимость от внешних влияний) и свобода поведения (возможность действовать в соответствии со своими желаниями, самостоятельность в принятии решений), а наиболее распространенные представления об ответственности: ответственность за последствия своих действий и слов и ответственность за других. Самооценка уровня ответственности подростков связана с уровнем сформированности контроля поведения в подростковом возрасте: чем выше уровень сформированности контроля поведения, тем более ответственными чувствуют себя подростки. Таким образом, высокие показатели контроля поведения связаны с высоким уровнем самооценки ответственности и не связаны с уровнем самооценки свободы, что обусловлено спецификой представлений подростков о свободе и ответственности.

To study the relationship of behavior control with the concept of freedom and responsibility and the level of self-esteem of freedom and responsibility, 113 adolescents of secondary schools in St. Petersburg were examined. We measured: ideas about freedom and responsibility (2 mini-essays on the topics "Freedom" and "Responsibility"); self-assessment of freedom and responsibility (4 ten-point scales); control of behavior ("Style of self - regulation of behavior-98" by V. I. Morosanova, EmIn D. V. Lyusin, " HAKEMP-90" by J. Kuhl in the adaptation of S. A. Shapkin). Data processing: content analysis, correlation analysis. Results. The most common ideas of adolescents about freedom are social freedom (independence from external influences) and freedom of behavior (the ability to act in accordance with their desires, independence in decision-making), and the most common ideas about responsibility: Responsibility for the consequences of their actions and words and Responsibility for others. Self-assessment of the level of responsibility of adolescents is associated with the level of formation of behavior control in adolescence: the higher the level of control of behavior, the more responsible teenagers feel. Thus, high indicators of behavior control are associated with a high level of self-esteem of responsibility and are not related to the level of self-esteem of freedom, which is due to the specifics of adolescents ' ideas about freedom and responsibility.
