The participation of Armenia in Eurasian economic integration in the post-Soviet space

Abstract

Аннотация: В выпускной квалификационной работе магистра рассматривается тема участия Республики Армения в экономических интеграционных объединениях на постсоветском пространстве. Республика одной из первых провозгласила свою независимость, что, однако, не помешало ей принять активное участие в Содружестве Независимых Государств, в Организации договора о коллективной безопасности, в Евразийском экономическом союзе. В рамках исследования автор анализирует предпосылки к участию республики в интеграционных проектах на постсоветском пространстве, а также раскрывает проблемы страны после распада СССР. В работе подробно изучаются нормативно-правовые основы внешнеэкономической политики Армении, исследуется опыт участия страны в интеграционных проектах, реализуемых в СНГ в 1991–2019 гг., и в проектах Зоны свободной торговли. Особое внимание автор уделяет деятельности ЕАЭС: анализируются причины присоединения к союзу и результаты первого пятилетия участия.

Abstract: The theme of the role of the Republic of Armenia in economic integration associations in the post-Soviet space is considered in the graduate qualification work of the master degree. The Republic was one of the first to declare its independence, which, however, did not prevent it from taking an active part in the Commonwealth of Independent States, the collective security Treaty Organization, and the Eurasian economic Union. In the framework of the study, the author analyzes the prerequisites for the participation of the Republic in integration projects in the post-Soviet space, and also reveals the problems of the country after the collapse of the USSR. The paper studies in detail the legal framework of Armenia's foreign economic policy, the experience of the country's participation in integration projects implemented in the CIS in 1991-2019, and in the projects of the free trade Zone. The author pays special attention to the activities of the EAEU: the reasons of joining the Union and the results of the first five years of participation are analyzed.
