The international legal status of federal entities as illustrated by the USA, Canada and the Russian Federation

Abstract

Настоящая дипломная работа раскрывает особенности международно-правового статуса субъектов трёх федераций: Канады, США и России. Раскрывается связь понятий «международно-правовой статус» и «международная правосубъектность». Доказывается наличие у субъектов выбранных федераций наличие элементов ограниченной международной правосубъектности. Исследуется вопрос признания за субъектами федераций статуса субъектов международного права. Особое внимание уделяется анализу правовых основ международной деятельности субъектов трёх выбранных федераций. Выявлены и приведены примеры основных видов международной деятельности субъектов упомянутых федераций.

The paper deals with the main features of international legal status of federal entities using the example of three federations: Canada, The USA and Russia. The connection between the terms «international legal status» and «international legal personality» is revealed. It is proved that the subjects of selected federations have elements of limited international legal personality. The question of recognition of the status of subjects of international law for the federal entities is investigated. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the international activities' legal foundation of three selected federations' entities. The examples of the main international activities' types of the entities federations mentioned are identified and given.
