The theory of international security: From the Traditions to Political Practice

Abstract

В исследовании были рассмотрены основные достижения теории международных отношений по проблематике безопасности. При этом особый акцент был сделан на практической ценности положений основных парадигм теории, а также на эффективности частных теорий и концепций в изучении и противодействии современным угрозам безопасности. Для этого были рассмотрены основные идейные положения неореализма, неолиберализма, глобализма и постпозитивизма, а также частных теорий и концепций, относящихся к данным парадигмам. Также был проведён анализ современного состояния международной среды и характера угроз безопасности. В завершающей части исследования на практическом примере кибербезопасности Российской Федерации была рассмотрена эффективность механизмов нейтрализации угроз современного типа.

The study considers achievements of the international relations theory on security issues. At the same time, special emphasis was placed on the practical value of the main paradigms statements, as well as on the effectiveness of particular theories and concepts in studying and countering modern security threats. The main ideological positions of neorealism, neoliberalism, globalism and post- positivism, as well as particular theories and concepts relating to these paradigms were considered. An analysis of the current state of the international relations and the nature of security threats was also conducted. In the final part of the study on the practical example of cybersecurity of the Russian Federation, the effectiveness of the mechanisms of modern threats neutralisation was considered.
