| ru_RU |
dc.description.abstract | This paper defines the main concepts related to public diplomacy, including cultural diplomacy. It is shown what place it occupies in Canada's foreign policy, as well as how it fits into the framework of the concept of "soft power". There was also an analysis of the use of public and cultural diplomacy by the government of Canada in foreign policy activities. It is shown how cultural diplomacy has evolved from an additional, optional direction to an important part of Canada's international policy. The most important result of the study is the proven hypothesis that public diplomacy conducted by the government of Justin Trudeau is different from public diplomacy conducted by other governments of Canada. Analysis of public diplomacy tools shows that the current approach of the government of Canada to cultural diplomacy, in contrast to previous governments, is characterized by a high degree of interest, a result of which is a gradual development of cultural diplomacy as a separate direction of foreign policy. | en_GB |
