Phraseological units in political discourse

Abstract

Данная работа посвящена исследованию функционирования фразеологических единиц (ФЕ) в политическом дискурсе. В исследование анализируются теоретические вопросы фразеологических единиц: определение, состав, классификации, выделяются особенности и основные методы их перевода. Далее рассматривается понятие «политический дискурс» и выделяются особенности политической фразеологии. Отобранные на исследуемом материале фразеологизмы анализируются с точки зрения выражения оценки ФЕ политического дискурса, структурно-семантической классификации, а также использованных методов перевода. Объем работы составляет 77 страниц и включает в состав введение, две главы, заключение и список литературы, содержащий 54 наименования.

The thesis is devoted to the functioning of phraseological units (PU) in political discourse. The study analyses the theoretical issues of the phraseological units: a definition, a composition, and classifications; the features and methods of their translation are distinguished. The definition of "political discourse" is considered and the features of political phraseology are distinguished. Phraseological units, which were chosen from the studied material, are analysed in terms of evaluation of the PU in political discourse, the structural-semantic classification, as well as the methods which are used for their translation from English into Russian. The volume of the thesis is 77 pages and it includes an introduction, two chapters, a conclusion and a list of references containing 54 titles.
