The linguistic arsenal of digital diplomacy in the translation aspect

Abstract

На сегодняшний день феномен цифровой дипломатии приобретает все большее и большее значение. Этот факт обусловлен влиянием цифровой революции как на жизнь людей, так и на ситуацию на международной арене. В связи с этим, возникает необходимость исследования особенностей актов цифровой дипломатии, и, в частности, необходимость их анализа с лингвистической точки зрения. Данная работа посвящена анализу перевода цифровых дипломатических заявлений с английского языка на русский, а также принципам перевода цифровых дипломатических документов. Целью исследования является выявление характерных особенностей языка цифровой дипломатии и способов их передачи на русский язык. Объект исследования - дипломатические заявления, опубликованные на официальных порталах ведомств США и личные заявление дипломатов и политиков, размещенные в социальных сетях. Предмет исследования - особенности языка цифровой дипломатии при переводе с английского на русский язык, а также принципы перевода официальных и неофициальных заявлений в сфере цифровой дипломатии. В ходе исследования было рассмотрено 6 типов дипломатических документов, опубликованных на сайтах Генконсульства США, в социальной сети Твиттер и др. Выполненное исследование позволило выделить принципы перевода цифровых дипломатических документов, подразумевающие, что первостепенной задачей переводчика становится определение типа документа, его стилистики, а также особенностей риторики автора публикации. Работа включает в себя введение, две главы, заключение, список литературы. Список использованной литературы содержит 44 источника. Общий объем работы составляет 75 страниц.

Today, the phenomenon of digital diplomacy is becoming more and more important. This fact is due to the impact of the digital revolution both on people's lives and on the situation in the international arena. In this regard, there is a need to study the features of digital diplomacy acts, and, in particular, the need to analyze them from a linguistic point of view. This paper analyzes the translation of digital diplomatic statements from English into Russian, as well as the principles of translation of digital diplomatic documents. The aim of the research is to identify the characteristic features of the language of digital diplomacy and the ways of their transmission into Russian. The object of the study is diplomatic statements published on the official portals of US departments and personal statements of diplomats and politicians posted on social networks. The subject of the research is the peculiarities of the digital diplomacy language in translation from English into Russian, as well as the principles of translation of official and unofficial statements in the field of digital diplomacy. The study examined 6 types of diplomatic documents published on the websites of the US Consulate General, on the social network Twitter, etc. The research made it possible to identify the principles of translation of digital diplomatic documents, which imply that the primary task of the translator is to determine the type of document, its style, as well as the features of the author's rhetoric. The work includes an introduction, two chapters, a conclusion, and a list of references. The list of references contains 44 sources. The total volume of the work is 75 pages.
