Analyzing the environmental performance of business units to create Green supply chain

Abstract

В современном сельском хозяйстве, как и практически в любой другой отрасли экономики с высоким уровнем конкуренции ключевым конкурентным преимуществом фирмы выступает эффективность производственной деятельности. В связи с этим особый научный и практический интерес представляют исследования по разработке и внедрению в практику управления предприятиями современных подходов и инструментов измерения и оценки операционной/производственной эффективности их деятельности. Данная выпускная квалификационная работа посвящена анализу одного из важнейших на сегодняшний день аспектов функционирования предприятий сельского хозяйства (животноводства), а именно измерению и сравнительному анализу экологической эффективности подразделений животноводческих ферм в целях создания зеленой цепочки поставок. Зеленая цепочка поставок представляет собой логистику структура процессов производства и глобального (по всему миру) распределения продукции экологически чистым способом. Любая зеленая цепочка поставок, начинается с этапа экологически чистого производства продукта. Экологический продукт предполагает принятие мер в цепочке поставок по сокращению количества и контролю опасных и неопасных отходов в процессе производства. Для создания зеленой цепочки поставок необходимо провести анализ вовлеченных в нее производственных и сбытовых подразделений с точки зрения экологической эффективности их деятельности и определить среди них «лучшие практики», на основе которых в дальнейшем должны формироваться стандарты соответствующих видов производственной и сбытовой деятельности. В данной работе объектом анализа выступают молочные фермы, входящие в агропромышленный холдинг "Дороничи". На основе собранных эмпирических данных об экологических и операционных показателях молочных ферм осуществляется фронтальный анализ выборки объектов. В работе представлено обоснование используемых методов оценки эффективности деятельности рассматриваемых объектов. На основе применения методологии фронтального анализа DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis – анализ свертки данных) осуществлен бенчмаркинг сравниваемых молочных по их экологической эффективности. В финальной части работы проанализированы и интерпретированы полученные результаты экологической эффективности и предложены управленческие рекомендации по улучшения экологических показателей деятельности сравниваемых молочных ферм.

In modern agriculture, as in almost any other sector of the economy with a high level of competition, the key competitive advantage of the company is the efficiency of production activities. In this regard , research on the development and implementation in the practice of enterprise management of modern approaches and tools for measuring and evaluating the operational/production efficiency of their activities is of particular scientific and practical interest. This final qualifying work is devoted to the analysis of one of the most important on the present day aspects of the functioning of agricultural enterprises (livestock), namely, the measurement and comparative analysis of the environmental performance of livestock farm units in order to create a green supply chain. The green supply chain is the logistics structure of the production processes and the global (worldwide) distribution of products in an environmentally friendly manner. Any green supply chain begins with the stage of environmentally friendly product production. An ecological product involves take measures in the supply chain to reduce the amount and control of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in the production process. To create a green supply chain, it is necessary to analyze the production and sales units involved in it from the point of view of the environmental efficiency of their activities and identify among them "best practices", on the basis of which standards for the relevant types of production and sales activities should be formed in the future. In this paper, the object of analysis is dairy farms that are part of the agro-industrial holding "Doronichi". On based on the collected empirical data on the environmental and operational indicators of dairy farms, a frontal analysis of a sample of objects is carried out. The paper presents the rationale for the methods used to assess the effectiveness of the objects under consideration. Based on the application of the frontal analysis methodology DEA (Data Envelope Analysis – data convolution analysis) benchmarked the compared dairy products according to their environmental performance. In the final part of the work , the results of the environmental assessment are analyzed and interpreted. management recommendations for improving the environmental performance of the compared dairy farms are proposed.
