The ecological and economic assessment of the prospects for exploitation of technogenic deposits: a case study of a mining waste dump in Pitkyaranta

Abstract

Одной из проблем горной промышленности является образование твердых минеральных отходов. Перспективным направлением снижения данных последствий является вторичное использование отходов. Принимаемые при этом решения требуют эколого-экономической оценки с учетом всех значимых факторов. Целью данной работы является оценка перспективности вторичного использования компонентов шлакового отвала и подбор оптимального способа переработки шлаков на данной территории; при этом были проанализированы научные работы и опыт российских и зарубежных исследователей в этой области, приведены основные положения методики эколого-экономической оценки эффективности освоения техногенных месторождений, рассмотрены возможности их освоения, проведена эколого-экономическая оценка и предложены оптимальные способы переработки залежей, учитывая их особенности нахождения и состава. Объектом исследования является шлакоотвал переработки руд месторождений, находящихся в центре города Питкяранта. Научная новизна исследования состоит в применении результатов анализа состава шлакоотвала для расчетов, необходимых для эколого-экономической оценки, а также в разработке эффективной и комплексной схемы переработки существующих залежей. В результате проведённой эколого-экономической оценки перспективность разработки данного отвала в качестве источника ценных металлов и продукции производств обуславливается нахождением элементов с содержанием выше промышленного минимума и экологическим эффектом. Для варианта переработки данного шлакоотвала, в работе был представлен один из комплексных методов переработки отвала для дальнейшего использования в различных сферах промышленности (строительстве, медицине и т.д.), с последующим удалением отходов согласно государственным нормам. Предложенная схема соответствует содержанию компонентов шлакоотвала для наиболее полного извлечения полезных элементов.

The formation of solid mineral wastes is one of the problems of mining industry. One of prospectives for reducing those effects is the wastes reusing. The decisions made for that require an environmental and economic assessment taking into account all relevant factors. The purpose of this work is the assessment of the prospects for the secondary use of the components of the slag dump and the selection of the optimal method for processing slags; wherein the work analyses scientific work and experience of Russian and foreign researchers in this field, presents the main provisions of the methodology for the ecological and economic assessment of the efficiency of the development of technogenic deposits, considering the possibilities of their developing, fulfils an environmental and economic assessment and proposes the optimal methods of processing deposits, taking into account their conditions of finding and composition. The object of the study is a slag dump for ore processing from deposits located in the center of the city of Pitkyaranta. The scientific novelty of the research consists in the application of the results of the analysis of the composition of the slag dump for the calculations necessary for the ecological and economic assessment, as well as in the development of an effective and comprehensive scheme for the processing of existing deposits. As a result of the conducted environmental and economic assessment, the prospects for the development of this dump as a source of valuable metals and production products are determined by the finding of elements with a content above the industrial minimum and an environmental effect. For the option of processing this slag dump, the work presented one of the complex methods of processing the dump for further use in various industries (construction, medicine, etc.), followed by waste disposal in accordance with state regulations. The proposed schema corresponds to the content of the components of the slag dump for the most complete extraction of useful elements.
