An environmental approach to the design of temporary museum exhibitions. The Movement to the Sun Exhibition in the Russian Museum of Ethnography

Abstract

Проект содержит: пояснительную записку на 32 листах; иллюстративное приложение на 11 листах; проектную часть на трех выставочных планшетах формата 1400*1000, включающую в себя анализ места проектирования, схемы, чертежи, 3-D визуализации, компьютерную презентацию. 1. Актуальность темы организации временной выставки в классическом музее обусловлена ориентированием Российского Этнографического музея на реновацию выставочной деятельности с целью привлечения новой аудитории. 2. Цель работы: разработать концепцию выставки с использованием современных приёмов экспонирования для привлечения внимания новой аудитории. 3. Задачи работы: • Провести предпроектное исследование • Проанализировать существующую экспозицию временной выставки в РЭМ • Изучить аналоги постоянных и временных экспозиций • Проанализировать принципы организации выставок средствами дизайна среды • Сделать замеры и фотофиксацию зала • Разработать проектную концепцию временной выставки

4. Краткое описание работы. 4.1. Изученный материал и структура пояснительной записки. В ходе выполнения дипломного проекта был проведен анализ места проектирования - зала в Российском этнографическом музее. Проанализированы принципы организации временных выставок. Пояснительная записка состоит из введения, где выявлены проблемы, формируются цель и задачи проекта. В первой главе описываются исторические сведения о месте проектирования и современное состояние выставочного зала в РЭМ. Анализируется концепция существующей выставки в этом зале на данный момент. Результаты этой работы представлены в виде текста с выводами и фотографий, сделанных автором на экспозиции. Во второй главе проводится комплексный анализ временных выставок, выделяются инструменты проектирования, описываются отличительные черты временных выставок и постоянных экспозиций. Перечисляются требования к экспонированию музейных предметов и оборудованию, а также описываются главные принципы средового подхода в проектировании. Третья глава посвящена концепции новой временной выставки в РЭМ - «Движение к солнцу». Эта выставка посвящена Арктике и рассказывает о людях, её населяющих, и стратегии освоения этих северных земель. Описывается образная идея, функциональное зонирование, пользовательские сценарии, объемно-пространственное решение . В приложение указан список литературы и электронных ресурсов, включающий в себя 20 источников. 4.2. Разработанные проектные предложения. Образная идея проекта временной выставки «Движение к солнцу» основана на концепции жизненного пути северных народов - двигаться от кочевья к кочевью вслед за солнцем. На основе полученной информации о жизни и быте народов Арктики создан визуальный образ и план подачи информации на временной выставке «Движение к солнцу». Информация, раскрывающая стратегию освоения Арктики людьми, подается, начиная с рассказа о том, как, решая базовые потребности, человек создаёт основу стратегического ресурса освоения новых земель. Удовлетворив базовые потребности и создав крепкий тыл, люди обеспечивают себе основу для развития духовных потребностей и искусства. С помощью принципов средового подхода в проектировании создаётся образ пространства выставки, передающий настроение Арктики с ее холодами и бескрайними снежными покровами. 5. Краткое описание методик, технологий и программного обеспечения, используемого при подготовке к ВДП. Проектная часть работы выполнена в 3D-модели, созданной в «3D Max 2019» и «3D Max V-Ray 2019», чертежи сделаны в «AutoCAD 2019», верстка презентационных планшетов и компоновка собрана в «Adobe Photoshop 2020», пояснительная записка создана в «Microsoft Word 2016».

The relevance of the topic of organizing a temporary exhibition in the classical museum is due to the desire of the Russian Ethnographic Museum to update its exhibition activities in order to attract a new audience. 2. The purpose of the work: to develop the concept of the exhibition using modern techniques of exposure to attract the attention of a new audience. 3. Tasks of the work: • Conduct a pre-project study • Analyze the existing exposition of the temporary exhibition in the REM • Study analogs of permanent and temporary exposures • Analyze the principles of organizing exhibitions by means of environmental design • Take measurements and take photos of the hall • Develop a project concept for a temporary exhibition

4. Brief description of the work. 4.1. The studied material and the structure of the explanatory note. In the course of the graduation project, an analysis of the design location of the hall in the Russian Ethnographic Museum was carried out. The principles of organizing temporary exhibitions are analyzed. The explanatory note consists of an introduction, where the problems are identified, the goal and objectives of the project are formed. The first chapter describes the historical information about the design site and the current state of the exhibition hall in REM. The concept of the existing exhibition in this hall at the moment is analyzed. The results of this work are presented in the form of a text with conclusions and photos taken by the author at the exhibition. The second chapter provides a comprehensive analysis of temporary exhibitions, identifies design tools, and describes the distinctive features of temporary exhibitions and permanent exhibitions. The requirements for the display of museum objects and equipment are listed, as well as the main principles of the environmental approach in design are described. The third chapter is devoted to the concept of a new temporary exhibition at the REM - "Movement to the Sun". This exhibition is dedicated to the Arctic and tells about the people who inhabit it, and the strategy for the development of these northern lands. It describes the figurative idea, functional zoning, user scenarios, and spatial solution . The appendix contains a list of literature and electronic resources, including 20 sources. 4.2. Developed project proposals. The figurative idea of the project of the temporary exhibition "Movement to the Sun" is based on the concept of the life path of the northern peoples - to move from nomad to nomad after the sun. Based on the information received about the life and everyday life of the peoples of the Arctic, a visual image and a plan for presenting information at the temporary exhibition "Movement to the Sun"were created. Information that reveals the strategy of human exploration of the Arctic is presented, starting with a story about how, solving basic needs, a person creates the basis of a strategic resource for the development of new lands. By satisfying basic needs and creating a strong rear, people provide a foundation for the development of spiritual needs and art. Using the principles of the environmental approach in the design, an image of the exhibition space is created that conveys the mood of the Arctic with its cold and endless snow cover. 5. A brief description of the methods, technologies and software used in preparing for the VDP. The design part of the work was done in a 3D model created in "3D Max 2019" and "3D Max V-Ray 2019", the drawings were made in" AutoCAD 2019", the layout of presentation tablets and the layout was assembled in" Adobe Photoshop 2020", the explanatory note was created in"Microsoft Word 2016".
